Practical tools.
Clear standards.
consistent performance.
We help athletes turn preparation into consistent performance. Our framework has been designed and tested by former pro athlete Matt Fornataro, centered on four essentials—purpose, discipline, imagination, and process—and turns them into simple, repeatable routines athletes can use in practice, under pressure, and after setbacks.
Our core offer is THE BLUEPRINT: Mindset Fundamentals—a starter mental skills building program that gives athletes a clear assessment, daily standards, and game-day reset tools they can use right away. We also deliver speaking sessions that ignite buy-in and leave practical takeaways, team coaching that builds shared language and culture, and a limited number of 1-on-1 coaching spots for athletes who need deep, personalized support.

"if i am consistent, i will have the opportunity to be exceptional" - Inky Johnson

How We work
Every engagement starts with a quick assessment to understand confidence, focus, and pressure points. From there we set clear weekly priorities, train one skill at a time, and review what stuck. The result is a repeatable loop—assess, plan, train, review—that creates momentum without adding noise.
our values

A one-page, honest check-in on confidence, focus, pressure, and bounce-back ability.
Athletes rate themselves, identify their biggest mental challenges, and uncover what’s actually holding them back in competition.

Built on ice.
Proven under pressure.
Matt Fornataro is a Calgary-born former professional hockey player who spent nearly a decade competing in North America and Europe. At the University of New Hampshire, he captained the Wildcats and earned All-American honors, then turned pro in 2008. In the AHL he suited up for the Syracuse Crunch, Worcester Sharks, Houston Aeros, Norfolk Admirals, and Rockford IceHogs before extending his career with clubs in Sweden and Austria.

After retiring in 2016, Matt shifted his leadership and performance focus to business and coaching. He co-founded TorchPro, a sports media company built to help athletes tell authentic stories and grow their brands. Through MF Performance Coaching, he now helps athletes and organizations build consistent, confident performance by training the mental skills that travel from practice to pressure moments—clarity, discipline, resilience, and composure—using a simple framework athletes can apply every week.
